"Andrea and Uncle Wayne"
Oil on canvas 2' x 2½'
My friend's brother, Wayne, came to visit and she had taken this photograph
of her brother walking along the Eagle beach with her daughter, when she showed
me the picture, I said "I have to paint it, it's so beautiful" so she gave it to
me and I painted it, and gave it to her as a Christmas gift.

"Gypsies"
Acrylic on paper 8" x 10"
I've known the Gypsy Kings for about 15 years, as my cousin was
part of the band, and toured with them. My cousin is in the video
and song (Baila Me) doing the percussions, and at the very start of
the video, there is a scene which only lasts a few seconds, so I had
to paint it.

"A Craving for Lobos"
Oil on canvas 2' x 1½'
While living on Aruba and enjoying the tropical fruit, I still
had a craving for Lobo apples. A friend was going to North America
during the month of October and I had asked her to bring a couple of
Lobo apples on her return. I was also testing my abilities as I had
never painted fruit before!

"Shared Environment"
Oil on canvas 3' x 4'
This came from my own imagination. I was also experimenting and
testing my abilities, as I have not had any form of formal training
in painting other than a night course in Trompe-l'oeil ("trick the
eye"), I once took a session to learn how to manipulate oil
paint.

with coins 4' x 4'
This was more of an experiment with colour, movement, and
texture.
