"Memories of Aruba"
Oil on canvas 2' x 2˝"
I was commissioned to do a painting for someone, that depicted
some of the aspects of Aruba.

"Reproduction and Evolution"
Acrylic on canvas 3' x 6'
This was a very personal revelation, about my life and also my
very first painting. I wrote a story about this painting and
dedicated it to my brother René. Here is the short version:
"The roads are narrow and fragile, full of traps and temptations, but
we make the final choices. There are many ups and downs along the
way, but there's nothing to fear, there's a reason why they're
there. It's up to us to figure it out. Fear is what keeps you from
really living; it keeps your spirit dimmed."

"Above a Quiet Storm"
While enjoying our usual Sunday night picnic dinner on the
beach with friends and kids, I had noticed how the sky was changing,
it was striking, so I took a few photographs, and painted it from
the photo. And yes, the two sail boats were really there at that
precise moment!

"I Surrender"
Acrylic and oil
on canvas 2' x 1˝'
This was more on a personal level. It was a difficult time for
me, the crumbling of a beautiful family life and marriage.

"Morning Delight"
Oil on canvas 4' x 5'
This window scene was on the cover of a local Caribbean magazine,
I loved it, and added my own personal touch to it by introducing the
open book and pen.

"Look"
Oil on board 2' x 3'
I was commissioned to paint something for a beauty salon, and
came up with this from my imagination, again experimenting with
colours, texture, movement and dimensions. |
